This policy explains how Sunlife Solar UK Limited handles your personal data when you use this website and our solar savings estimator.

What we collect

When you complete the solar savings estimator we collect the details you enter:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your address and postcode
• Details about your property and energy use, such as property type, bedrooms, heating type and whether you have an electric vehicle
• The system options you chose and the estimate we produced for you

If you have accepted cookies, we also collect analytics and advertising data as described in our Cookie Policy, including identifiers such as the Google click ID that links your visit to the advert you clicked.

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

• To contact you about your solar estimate. You ask us to do this when you tick the consent box and submit the form. Lawful basis: consent, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
• To carry out a survey and prepare a quote if you choose to go ahead. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
• To measure and improve our advertising and website, only where you have accepted cookies. Lawful basis: consent.

Who your data is shared with

• Netlify, which hosts this website and processes form submissions on our behalf.
• Lychee Lab, the marketing agency that manages our advertising and lead handling on our behalf. Lychee Lab processes your enquiry into our lead records and notifies us when you submit the form.
• Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), only where you have accepted cookies, to measure how our advertising performs.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so we can deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. If you become a customer, we keep records for as long as needed for warranties, certification and legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to our use of it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@sunlifesolaruk.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
